Here is  a new paper that has been just published on ACS Applied Polymer Materials. Phosphorus δ-layers in SiO2 have been prepared by means of poly(methyl methacrylate) terminated with a phosphorus-containing moiety acting as an anchoring group. A distortion of the molecular weight distribution of the grafted species with respect to the initial molecular weight distribution of the polymer has been observed confirming results reported in our recent manuscript published on Polymer Chemistry. The overall picture reveals important information about the mechanisms  governing the “grafting to” process of P terminated PMMA polymers onto non-deglazed Si substrates in view of their integration in advanced strategies for deterministic doping.
